This photo is interesting to me for the way it shows the pajama top and the bottom while still relating the two to each other. It’s a good way to use the space you have for the gallery pic to show the item you have up for sale.  The listing is clean, clear and easy to navigate. There are links in the description to the other items in the store as well as the About Me page, which are helpful!

I find the way the text in the description plays off the colors in the item for sale attractive yet subtle. The shipping cost is very fair. It’s a simple layout and listing and does what it needs to do.

Millennium Mac Gund Teddy Bear

This is an adorable item in a very good listing. The terms and conditions are clearly given and explained in detail, but not in too much detail. The way the photo is edited with the white space around the item makes the bear look very attractive. The colors of the listing are pleasant and soothing.

The close up of the fur and the tag certainly helps the buyer get a good feel for the quality and condition of the bear, and it also increases the buyer’s confidence in the seller.

I also like the headers at the top of the description that allow the buyer to skip down to the section of information that he/she is looking for. VERY nice touch! Great job!

I love how your gallery photo is bright and clear AND shows both the outside and inside of the bag. I really don’t have a lot to say about this listing….your auction description and terms of sale are clear and to-the-point. You included some additional close-up photos of the bag and the dimensions so buyers know just what they’re getting.

Today’s Ebay listing of the day comes from My Two Roses Boutique. Once again, the gallery picture was what made me click on this listing. A nice, bright clear photo of a cute little duck….I just had to see more!

I like that you put in several close-up photos of the duck from various angles. Your description and shipping/payment terms are consice and nicely written. I did get a little confused by your return policy, however.

All sales are final. If you recieve an item in really bad condition or think we have grossely misrepresented any item, please contact us whithin 3 days of recieving item.
We do not accept returns due to sizing issues.
Returns must be in original condition (as sold).
No partial refunds.
Buyer pays shipping unless it was our error. Our home is a pet free, smoke free home.

You state that all sales are final, yet go on to explain what seems to be a return policy. If you do take returns, I’d suggest removing the “all sales final” verbiage. If you don’t take returns, I’d suggest removing the terms that suggest you do.

Today’s Ebay listing of the day comes from My Twins Mommy Plus One. This is a great auction, clear, attractive pictures with plenty of close-ups. Love the one with the circle around the flaw you had described, so buyers can really see what you’re talking about. I think the saying, “A picture is worth a thousand words,” is never more true than referring to Ebay buying/selling. When I’m buying on Ebay, I love to have close-up pictures that show any special details or flaws on the item, it makes me much more confident that I will like what I’m buying!

I like your template and I especially like how your store categories are laid out on the left-side of the page, buyers can easily see that you have a lot of other items for sale and can quickly click on any category they are interested in.

STRIDE RITE FIRST MATE BROWN SANDALS 7M EURO 23 HCTS

Today’s Ebay listing of the day comes from Giggle Drops Kids Resale and More. This is a great pair of sandals in your listing and I was drawn in by your nice gallery photo. It’s a touch bit out of focus, but I like it on the white background and the nice, close-up shot of the shoes. I also really like the search box in your listing template….what a great way to get buyers to quickly take a peek at your other listings!

Your description is short and to the point, which is nice. I think the shipping terms get a little lengthy with your description of all the different shipping options and how long they take, etc. Perhaps shorten it to something like, “We ship Priority Mail within 2 business days after payment. Expedited shipping methods with guaranteed delivery takes are always available for an extra charge. Please contact us for more shipping options.” That may also help draw attention to your combined shipping rates…..as they are currently a little buried right at the end of the shipping terms.

I do have a concern with your title. As it currently stands, the size is listed as 7M and the only way buyers will pull it up in a search is if they are searching for the size by using 7M.

For example, I did an ebay search using the terms “stride rite brown sandals 7″ and your listing doesn’t come up. I would definitely find a place to just put a plain “7″ in your title so it will be more searchable.

A new title suggestion:

Great job on this listing! The title has great keywords….you used the brand name, line name, gender and both Euro and US sizing. Your listing should be highly searchable with all those keywords in the title.

Your auction text includes a clear, to-the-point description of the dress including the color, size and condition. It’s nice that measurements are included for those who may be unfamiliar with Hanna sizing. Your shipping and payment terms are well-written. I particularly like this: I accept Paypal only. I appreciate payments made within 3 days, however payment must be received within 7 days unless prior arrangements have been made. It’s a very nice way to ask for quick payment without demanding it. I did notice that you still have a paragraph regarding insurance….now would be a good time to revise those terms out since Ebay is discontinuing the insurance option starting in October.

Girls Classic RALPH LAUREN pink dress fall 3 3T hcts

Once again, very nice picture. My eye is always drawn to clean, bright pictures of an item and this one is definitely that.  It shows the dress well and you’ve cropped nicely to eliminate any distractions.  I appreciate that you took the time to include a second picture with more close-up detail.

Your listing template is very cute without being overpowering.  I like that your terms are short and sweet and very clearly stated.  I don’t know if it’s a temporary problem or not, but the picture at the top of the template won’t open for me, I just get a box with a red X.

Under shipping information you address the purchase of insurance.  As I’m sure you know ebay’s policy is changing and that will no longer be allowed.  This would be a great time to revise your template and remove that verbiage so you don’t have any difficulties this fall when we’re moving into the busy holiday selling season.

Nice bright swimsuit against a stark background means your item really pops here.  I also like that the tag is visible but not covering part of the garment.

Your template is clean and easy to look at (and is it new? I don’t remember it.) and the description and terms are easy to locate.  My only suggestion there would be that measurements on the suit might be helpful (though I understand since I am bad about not including them myself!)

I like that this page was kept very basic, allowing the focus to really be on the item.  I also appreciate the very fair shipping charge.  Have you considered adding a statement about how you handle combined shipping?  Your return policy is great, nicely offered and nicely worded as well.

Great picture! Your picture is clear and the editing you did around it ensues that the focus is completely on the item with no distractions.  This is a very nice first impression.

I found it a but hard to find the items details here.  The description for this item doesn’t start until the 10th line of text.  I believe that the wording above that is probably generic to be included on all listings, and I would find the listing more clear if that were all underneath the specifics about this listing.  I also think measurements might be helpful to include in the description.  I’m sure that someone who collects these figurines would have some idea of size, but I’m not sure that a casual buyer would know.  (Or maybe that is just me!)

Your shipping price seems fair and clearly stated.  I also like that your combined shipping policy is stated so obviously so the buyer knows what he will be getting.  It’s not mentioned in the listing itself but on the second page I see you have a nice return policy.  I might consider putting a blurb about that in the template, as it definitely encourages buyers to feel confident shopping with you.
