Here Comes The Stork Blog

White Rabbit meets Mt. Unlisted

Do you ever feel like you just can’t get it together?

That’s the mode I’m in right now, and that’s why this blog post is going up at 6 pm instead of 6 am.

Okay realistically, I’m never up at 6 am.  Say 9-ish.

The problem is that even though I’ve ‘known’ I need to do this for weeks, I didn’t write it down.  I didn’t make it my priority.  And I didn’t plan ahead.

Which means that when the day rolls around, I’m unprepared.  I’m running late.  Sometimes, I forget altogether.

It’s White Rabbit mode.

I’m late, I’m late! For a very important date!

Now with a blog post, thankfully I can catch up in a few minutes.  But with our businesses, well… it’s rarely that simple.

Where do you stand?  Are you on track, caught up, ready for the next big thing?  Or are you like me, a day late and a dollar short?

Its easy to fall behind and hard to catch up.  Believe me, I know.

But catch up we must, and there’s no time like the present.

Right now, I need you to take a picture for me.  Get brave, and snap a photo of your own personal Mt. Unlisted.

Except that sign?  Not so much.  We are climbing this mountain, together.  And we’re starting today.

I’ve started a photo thread in the forum, in the Challenge Chat category.  Join me in posting your own personal disaster area unlisted inventory and you will have completed part one of this weeks’ challenge.

Each day for the next 4 days, I will give you another task to complete.  If you complete all 5, your name will be entered in a drawing for some cold, hard cash!  That’s right, PayPal funds, straight to you, so you can choose-your-own-prize.  A dent in the mountain and some moolah?  That’s a win-win!

  1. My Mt. Unlisted is more like a basement flood, but I will be sure to post pics!

  2. I’ve already started climbing, but it definitely helps to know that there are others facing this task too. Definitely strength in numbers!

  3. I supose I have “isles of unlisted”, as its not all in one spot.

Ill take some pictures of the isles – in whatever state they are as of this very moment. (Luckily for me, I went a-looking for a few particular items this morning, and ended up straightening up/consolidating much of the stuff!)

  4. I have boxes and tubs of unlisted items. I’m working working working on them but somehow more stuff keeps joining the piles!

  5. Thankfully on my mission to get organized I put all of my unlisted things in containers. So it looks like there’s no mess, but inside the containers is a mess . Mixed-matched items just thrown in containers. :) Oh and what’s in my car that I haven’t brought in the house yet ;)

  6. Mine are more like aisles too. I’m working on getting ready for a M2M sale right now so I don’t have a big mountain like the one in the pic. If it wasn’t ebay-worthy, then it was going to the M2M sale.
