Thursday Thirteen
Things I couldn’t (or wouldn’t want to) live without for selling online:
- computer (duh!)
- high-speed internet (I can’t believe I ever did this on dial-up!)
- shipping scale
- peel and stick shipping labels (printing postage at home saves so much time!)
- polymailers
- heavy-duty tape gun
- thank-you cards (business cards from Vistaprint are a cheap way to say thanks and include your contact info!)
- plastic bags (I store my clothes in ziploc or similar bags, and ship this way for added waterproof protection)
- great bins for storing inventory (organization is key!)
- smartphone (again, can’t believe I ever did this without being able to research from the store!)
- my rolling cart for yard sales!
- great camera (I don’t like to edit pictures so getting it right the first time is important to me!)
- Here Comes The Stork, of course!

I’m not exactly sure how I managed to live without a high-speed internet connection either! when I lived at my parent’s house in 2003, we were on dial-up, that was the first time I’d ever used the internet outside school. I made my parent’s get broadband after that summer, and I moved out 3 years later. I did a Thursday 13 list, too! I wrote a list of 13 reasons why I blog, it’s here: http://lifes-adventures.net

Plastic bags are a great idea. Next time I’m shipping something moisture sensitive I’ll keep it in mind. Thank you cards, too. I need to get some.
