Spring Cleaning For Your Ebay Business

Who’s ready for some spring cleaning? Are those crickets I hear? I’m about as enthusiastic as the next gal but I know certain things have to be done. The same goes for my Ebay business.

Before I start doing some serious garage or yard sale shopping for inventory, I like to go through my store and get rid of things I have had for way too long. I either send it to auction for a very low starting price or I end the listing and donate the item. I also make sure my categories are organized and my listings are still looking good. I take note of what category isn’t doing as well as I had hoped as well as the ones I do very well in. This way, I know what to look out for first at the sales.

While you are at it, this is also a good time to go through your inventory and make sure you actually have in stock what you have listed. This shouldn’t take too long if you don’t have too many items in your store. While I do this, I re-organize the totes I store my things in so my items are easy to find.

Taking a couple days to do some “spring cleaning” for your business can really pay off! You can avoid having to send the “oops, I don’t have that anymore” email to a buyer. You can save money getting rid of items that are not selling too.
