Earlier this week I mentioned that it’s not too late to get Halloween costumes sold. Well, today I wanted to say it’s not too early to get holiday items listed! Many people are already shopping for special holiday outfits….especially if they want to get pictures taken early for holiday cards.
Today’s listing of the day comes from The Velvet Rabbit Boutique. I like the description, you really fit it in with the “theme” of the outfit. And it was a nice touch to add in the size chart for that clothing brand, that will definitely give your buyer confidence that they are selecting the right size.
I don’t have a lot else to say….I think your listing is excellent with great pictures, clear terms and all the “important stuff” mentioned. Great listing, best of luck with it!

Today’s listing of the day comes from Silly Goose Boutique. Leotards are another great seller on Ebay. I never understood why….until my own kids starting taking tumbling classes. Wow, those leotards are expensive when purchased new! Now leotards are on my “must look for” list every time I’m out shopping at thrift or consignment stores.
The gallery picture for this listing definitely caught my eye and made me want to click on the listing to read more. I like the additional close-up photos you provided as well as the leotard measurements…..those are essential when selling leos!
Your payment and shipping terms are clear and to-the-point. I like how you spell out exactly what your combined shipping policy is ($1 for each additional item). As a buyer I like to see that in listings, it really helps me decide whether I want to browse the sellers other listings and find more good stuff to buy.

HCTS members love loveys! Whether it be a stuffed animal, musical plush toy or blanket….these cute little things can be a great money-maker on Ebay. You can find them almost anywhere…..garage sales, thrift stores and consignment shops are great places to look. Usually they are fairly inexpensive, from a few cents to a few dollars. Many toddlers (and even bigger kids as well) have a favorite toy or blanket that they just CANNOT be without. Oftentimes it was something purchased when they were a baby and is no longer available for sale as a new item in a store. Parents turn to Ebay to find a replacement lovey for their little ones.
Today’s Ebay listing of the day is a cute little lovey from Madi-Cakes Closet and More. This caught my eye scrolling through listings with the nice gallery photo. I like the additional photos you included in the listing. I also enjoyed reading your auction description/terms…..you seem like a really easy-to-get-along with seller and it comes through on your lising.
Only one thing on your listing caught my eye as needing a revision and it was this: JUST LET ME KNOW IF YOU’D LIKE INSURANCE AND I’LL ADD IT TO YOUR INVOICE ($1.35 FOR UP TO $50.00 INSURANCE). Please note that I cannot be responsible for the items once I have mailed them if you do not purchase insurance.
Effective this month, Ebay no longer allows sellers to offer or charge for optional insurance coverage on items. Verbiage referring to insurance needs to be removed from listings and sellers are responsible for making sure their packages reach their customers safely.
Overall a great listing for really cute lovey. Best of luck with your listing!

Today’s listing of the day comes from Laughing Ladybugs. What immediately caught my eye was the fabulous gallery photo. Love the arrangement of the outfit and the “no background” look. Very professional. Even though this outfit does have a couple flaws, as a buyer I wouldn’t hesitate to bid on it because not only did you write what the flaws were, you closely photographed them.
I don’t have a lot else to say (always a sign of a great listing!)…..your payment and shipment terms are clear and well written out.

Today’s listing of the day is from Jaceb’s Treasures. Halloween is coming up fast, but it’s not too late to get costumes and other Halloween-themed clothing sold! Buyers are going to be looking for several things at this late date: the ability to buy fast and receive their item fast.
I think this listing is great because there are clear pictures of the item for sale, along with accurate sizing information. The listing is available for Buy It Now, so buyers can purchase right away, no waiting for an auction to end. The seller has clear payment and shipping terms and the costume will ship Priority Mail, which would give a buyer confidence that they will get their purchase in time for Halloween.
So if you’ve got some costumes sitting around….go ahead and list them! There are plenty of buyers (including myself, since my son can’t decide what he wants to be this year) who are still shopping for Halloween!

Stopped by my GW today, and picked up an interesting looking doll…put it back down, watched several other people pick it up and put it down..there actually were a couple of them but this ONE stood out, my mom was with me and I said, no I dont know anything about dolls and was going to walk away because it was 7.99 but mom said, oh I’ll buy it for you and jokingly said when I make a huge profit I just have to pay her back the 7.99
So I came home with this doll…and found a tag on it so started researching…
I couldn’t find the exact doll but these are completeds for the designer…

Hi everyone! We are looking for some fun gals to join the mod team here at HCTS. To become a mod here, you must meet the following requirements:
- HCTS member for 6+ months
- Currently selling on Ebay, Amazon, or your own website (alternatively, an expert in a related field ie, product photography, direct selling, blogging for example)
- Helpful to all members and no recent infractions
- Ability to commit to a posting volume of approx. 300-400 posts per month
